New chapter and the hilarious interactions between Daikichi and Rin's mom was funny. I must say I miss my Louquat tree they are a pain to eat but they are always sweet.

Just now I have discovered My Girl by Sahara Mizu (thanks to 4chan /a/), I think that if you like Usagi Drop you could like this one.

Spoiler for My Girl:

yeah , My girl is a great one too. The only problem I have is that it's written by Sahara Mizu , so it has tragedy and BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW ending written all over it.

at least , Usagi drops doesn't hint at any kind of baww drama , it's just you know , slice of life , kinda relaxing. ... well I hope it doesn't D:

Uhmmm...There is no indication of tragic end to happen just yet. If you're looking for tragedy in the manga...

Spoiler for ...:

I don't know , maybe that's just me who's seeing it then . Sure I'll be glad if it ends well , but really , I won't be surprised if it ends badly . And Yumeka is good at doing really sad endings. So yeh.
and now , i'm done with the off topic ~

For people who don't know that little fact : Yumeka Sumomo for some of her manga use the penname of Sahara Mizu

Really?....you just gave me another mangaka to look for.

On-topic.
I read this one while back. It's nice read. Not too force. The pacing is ok.
The mother of the girl is weird though...Not that because she got a child from an older man. It just seems...she's immature.

I'm no sure. While My Girl is comparable to Usagi Drop, it is in actuality a very different story. The character of My Girl really has no choice in the issue, has the woman he loved die, and is much younger than Daikichi. As a result, the story is filled with angst and the like detracting from what could be a story of growth between child and guardian such as Usagi Drop.

Kouki is inserting himself into Rin's and Daikichi's life isn't he? Then again Daikichi is about the only male influence in his life at the moment and it was just funny watching Daikichi playing the DS and having discussion on the Mario while Rin and Kouki's mom is working in the kitchen. Oh I think we all know how Daikichi feels when he saw his bonus check at lest once.
