Chris Paul is having arguably one of the greatest ever regular seasons by a point guard and Thentus you label him as merely good? smh, lol, /face palm
Anyway if the Blazers get a top ten pick in the draft they will be ridiculous next season. top 10 pick + Oden + their #23 pick Rudy Fernandez.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzaRAZ_yNTQ |

Denver @ GS on Thursday will be HUGE! This game will basically decide the eighth seed. I can't wait! I kinda wanna see Denver make the playoffs because I think they'll make a better series against the Hornets (If Hornets end in 1st) then GS would.
And Lakers dropped a game today giving the Suns one last opportunity to try to climb the rankings, although it's highly doubtful since they would have to drop two more and the Suns would have to win their remaining four. Getting the third seed is huge because theirs a very good chance that team will be playing the Rockets, the team everyone wants to play in the first round. |

I wonder if the Houston Rockets will be an "easy" opponent in the first round since they have been playing some good ball, but meh, we'll see
Meanwhile, Lakers lost...How could Odom be called for a flagrant on that play @@ he's just playing the game

It depends on the answer of "which Rocket will show up, during the playoffs?". But, in my opinion, since their players outperformed themselves by putting an effort exceeding their normal capacity to compensate for losing Yao, they will most probably run out of fuel when the time for playoffs come. Still, we have to wait and see how they will perform against Phoenix, Denver, and Utah before the season ends. Those games will be helpful to see their current level (for instance, if Utah continues to perform well in their remaining games, and Houston beats them at Utah, it will be a fairly good encouragement for them).

Best case scenario would be the Jazz and the Rockets will put up a fight when they both go up against the Nuggets. Respectively, the Jazz and Rockets are 4th and 5th seed right now so hopefully they're still fighting for homecourt advantage for the playoffs. Only real problem I see is the other unlikely scenario of the Warriors winning 3 straight, especially against the Suns in their 2nd game out of the remaining 3. Ahh, best case scenarios are the best we could hope for.
