Sword Art Online - Video Game Series (PSP/Vita/PS3/PS4)

I had picked up the game last night did hallow area. But hard to choose what character to tag along with. I am going with sinon atm but I feel I am missing good amount of story by abandoning Philia and I feel sorry for Asuna.
I really do not like that Stea girl >_> bad vibes

the dating sim element is not done well it is like an afterthought

Holding hand with Leafa, carrying her in my arm, hugging her, carrying her into my bedroom and we sleep together. I can't remember the last time I didn't cheated on Asuna hahaha~

X = Let you dash. Also drain burst bar.
Triangle = Shield block, this grant you 100 SP if you do it right.
Square = Stun, this can stun the boss for 1 second.

Press R or L will bring up another menu+ O/X/T/S will let you trigger other special moves, AOE attacks and what not. These moves use SP (Blue bar). A fast way to re-fill SP is press L, and bring up your partner control bar. By praising your partner, your SP is recovered +50.

You can also change your icons by pressing L and R together, this bring up your battle/weapon skills and potion list so you can setup what do you want to use.

With that in mind, this game definitely have a shitty English translation. REALLY-AWFUL Ones.

And the dating Sim is just LOL. Press a button and a girl fall in love with you? Gosh. This isn't even up to nukiage level writing.

The O-O-O-pressing part is not dating sim part. that is just something used to raise the relation index and get you some CG.

A new free DLC adventure pack has gone up on the North American PSN, with added missions, items, and so forth.

Also, it seems that SCEA finally noticed how many votes the game has been getting on the US and Canadian storefronts (over 1800 so far), and have finally gotten around to adding a promotional thumbnail for the game!

Still, I'm looking forward to the September 23 update, not least if it still includes the improved Hollow Area map shown for the Japanese update - note the lines connecting the various locations, a detail the original map sadly overlooked...

Also, I've cleared the Hollow Area, and am up to level 89 in Aincrad.

I wanted to finish that side of things and get Philia over to Arc Sophia before I moved further onward. I'm not sure if the designers had a particular level in mind, but she seems to fit in with the rest of the cast reasonably well.

Funnily enough, after ploughing through the Hollow Area storyline, I'm finding going back to Aincrad quite easy to run through in comparison. Maybe that will change once I get up into the 90s floor-wise.

I've been doing Aincrad for a bit first before hitting the Hallow Area myself. I've read somewhere that it makes sense to do it that way and the way I was getting hammered when I first tried to go there just drove the point home

As noted over on Gematsu, the SAO/Mahouka double-header event at TGS 2014 included confirmation of "Sword Art Online III" - the next step after Infinity Moment and Hollow Fragment.

More info (which will hopefully include what platform/s it will be on) should appear at the Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival, held on the 5th of October.

The North American v1.01 patch update is now available, clocking in at 646MB. According to the update log, it includes the following changes:

Update Content

- New BOSS added.
- New maps (Garden/Snow Mountain/Volcano) are added.
- Level maximum is raised to 250.
- New Hollow Missions are added.
- Implement Element Research difficulty is adjusted.
- New Grand Quests are added.
- New weapons are added.
- Complete costumes of Philia and Strea are added.
- Retrieving the gift given away last time
- Regardless of weapons and non-stackable items, the storage limitation is raised to 99.
- Chest number and items allowed are adjusted.
- Heroine Quests are added, allowing you to participate in Hollow Missions with the heroines.
- Argo is allowed to join the fight.
- Concealed Area is extended to 125 floors.
- Purchase of the DLC School Swimsuit (Navy) in store is allowed.
- Items able to change on Option Screen are added.
- Display content, operation, combat system, and partial weapon performance are adjusted.
- Motion stability is improved.

No confirmation of PSTV compatibility just yet, however.

PSTV support is what the Japanese version have ever since the game is out, so there should be no problen on this point in western release.

According to this article, the game will have an original storyline, though I'm not sure if it's intended to follow on directly after Hollow Fragment or not.
