I actually liked both Battle and Ecchi better in Shinmai (The MC has one of my all time favorite powers) but the characters are definitely better here. Don't know enough about the plot (lol) to decide one way or another though.

I prefer this over ShinMaou in story and characters but ShinMaou wins in terms of ecchi.

Actually I was talking more about the character design being quite similar of the main 2 and some "other details" being similar as well.

But actually I really liked Rakudai more as well, after the first chapter. I didn't get to read LN chapter 2 of Rakudai yet, but I hope Ikki is able to do something about the fact that he becomes useless after fighting for a few minutes... He may defeat most opponents at that time, but he becomes vulnerable afterwards, which worries me a bit about this weakness of his being constantly abused by others.

He means the slave thing, people.

That aside, I am kind of hoping he keeps the weakness, because it isn't really a weakness. He basically stomped Stella in a fight, with only her absurdly high mana (or whatever they call it here) levels saving her. Against a bunch of normal people (normal for students of a magical academy) he didn't even need his sword, he beat the shit out of them with his fists and an eraser.

If he's ever able to maintain it longer, he'll be functionally invincible. I mean, as is he beat the 3rd strongest in the world.

Third strongest did have a handicap, but his strengths kinda bug me. I mean they just seem to pale in the face of sheer ability.

He should use guns! Lots of guns! He got slow-motion-skills after all! Like in matrix.

It's interesting to follow the relationship of Ikki and Stella. Both actually seem to like the other but seem totally convinced that the other one is not interested. And that is how most relationships never even form...

His sister... is creepy... was she brainwashed or something? Or did she develop an imaginery Ikki in her head while he was gone?
