I thought that when you get pk'ed in this kind of situation you're dead like really dead?

There is no "really dead" in this world. The victims come back to life in the temple just like everyone else.

On a different topic, I was a bit leery when they started riding the gryphons about Akatsuki riding side-saddle. I mean, that's not exactly a stable sitting position, and it seems like an invitation to fall off: not a good thing when riding several hundred meters above the ground. Then I realized, considering how small she is and how broad the critter's back is, she probably can't sit astride it.

And, of course, it makes her look all the more adorable.

Also akatsuki has turned into my favorite now lol
Well you know how it is in MMOs... quite a lot of people get touchy about getting PK'd when most of the time it only entails a lost of few rank points.

Spoiler for Akatsuki drinking tea:
When you said it made her look adorable it reminded me of this.

And usually being consistently PKed by the same person over and over again in the area or corpse camped until they get tired of it.

Agreed with both statements, fights in MMO tends to be rather faced paced but here it was rather slow, like we're watching a bunch of keyboard turners with a mouse sensitivity speed of 0 trying to kill each other.

I remember in vanilla WoW (a very long time ago) you could indefinitely CC until reduced the numbers and added diminishing returns. It's really common in MMOs now, I'm surprised this game doesn't have it.

I can confirm that. Being on the receiving end of PKing is NEVER fun.

I dont know about that, whenever i play MMOs PvP is always a major part of my time. I find killing other players to be fun (since most of the time its harder then NPCs), however i never really mind if i die. Even if a person asks if they can kill me i dont mind.
Besides i made a lot of friends from killing them (kinda ironic)

Well, that's because:
A: it's not an MMO anymore, it's real life for them, so they're not just hammering on macros to try to kill everything,
and
B: we had pauses in the action to allow Shiroe to exposit on things.

3) Special types: These sub-jobs are available only after fulfilling conditions. One example would be Sword Savant/Kensei.

Unlike main jobs, sub-jobs can be switched whenever the player desires and are usually easier to level too.
any restriction on the subclass?

Dude its NHK, what would you expect? But yeah, i hope they add the blood at the BDs lol

You can only choose 1 per character.
However, you can give up your current one and adopt another.

Blood isn't a big deal, the problem is instantly vanishing and not leaving corpses. It's supposed to.
This isn't because of a personal preference, it actually has plot importances.

As for the PKing...
It's fine as a system that's part of a videogame.

However, remember, this isn't a game anymore. Sure, you can't permanently die.
But there is pain. There is hunger. There is need for shelter.
PK in this world is basically assault & robbery.

It's no longer the worst crime you can commit, but it's still not going to sit well with anyone who has a moral value.

Just finished this episode and it was really enjoyable. So now we know that "death" in this game isn't permanent so that's a surprise, but the issue with this is that it seems that pking is somewhat encouraged because of this. Many common MMO concepts being put to good use here and that's refreshing to see since I'm an RPG fan myself.

Shiro's team dynamic is really intriguing, as expected from a strategist and an ex high class guild member. I look forward to seeing his back toward about the Debauchery Tea Party days, and judging by the preview for next weeks episode we might learn something.

Other than that, great episode and I can't want for next week.

I hope she gets nominated on one of the Anime Saimoe Tournaments. She's got my vote, hands down!

"Sighs" If only if people on AS were nice enough to help me understand it, it'll be smooth sailing.

Dying is nasty in MMO especially if you've got high-level gear like I imagine Shiroe and his friends do being at level 90. In Guild Wars 2, for example, if you die one of your armor pieces get broken (which means running around partially naked/less defense) and if you liked that armor you gotta repair it... at obscene prices.

And that's without experiencing death "firsthand" like they do.

Anyway, I thought this episode was great. I really liked it when you got to see Shiroe at work: it seems to me that he has a very vast knowledge of Elder Tales' classes and subclasses and how to work against them/use them. It was really great to watch his team at work!

The only thing is that- really? That's some crazy handicap he has on his character by choosing a weak support main class and.... that subclass. I mean, sure it's useful with warp gates inactive but still .....

it is challenging and that was probably what he looking for.

And it is very useful and would be in high demand form any guild or group.

Debauchery Tea Party wasn't a guild, just the informal name for the group of players that challenged all these high level raids and dungeons.
