What happens is that most people confuse animation with art style, the former is beautiful but the latter is what is bothering them, since it quite a radical change from what they are used to, tho the last PV is making me warm up to the new art

While I agree Vali looks a bit younger than his TNK equivalent, his clothing is a more faithful adaptation. Just compare it to volume 21's cover.

Yeah, Miyama always makes the male characters look like a bishonen compared to TNK characters

Well when you look at this, you can see his old clothing was still faithful. I say this season is being rushed to the current volumes.

i don't like how they made everyone look younger, they look like 13/14 year olds now instead of the 17/18 year olds they are, i preferred how rias and akeno looked in the first couple of seasons compared to what we see now, idk they just look fake to me where as before they looked "like real girls", now they look EXTREMELY similar. if you do a side by side comparison you can see how much better rias looked and don't even get me started on akeno, she looked like a goddess but now its bad but that's just my opinion. I also understand that there are hardcore fans that will support dxd regardless of what the characters look like or how bad the plot is and will deny everything and anything bad you say about it but if this bombs and it MIGHT we may never see a 5th season (vol 11/12) which are my favorite dxd novels to date which would be a shame.

Well either way, I'm admittedly someone who prefers moe over the 2000's throwback style that it had before, so it ended up working in my favor.

>the design works really well in animation
>some quite prefer it since it's cuter
>event was just about sold out
>girls were once again present at the event
>animation quality was drastically better than anything Passione did before AND the previous seasons
>they got that creepy vibe from s1 back with the hero faction and that guy with the darkness sacred gear
>Yuki Kaji said he became a bit obsessed with the oppai dragon song at one point, he loves dubbing the series
>one particular scene left him with a sore throat from yelling for days
>Ishibumi and Kaji never expected the oppai dragon song to be put on iTunes,
>there was a bit of a cheer when the Issei vs Sairaorg spar hit its climax due to the animation
>the ED song is good
>there difference in tone between the fanservice/comedy and action/plot is very nice, it's unsettling in a good way like the LN at times
>Ishibumi said the first and foremost target of Hero during production was LN fans
>Ishibumi made the staff read all the way up to the newest novels so there wouldn't be any inaccuracies
