Some of them are in higher resolution, but I put most of them in 480p because the base files didn't look that good, while reducing them to 480p improved the render a lot (+ some tweakings).

Tomitake being muscular isn't really the problem. xD He was quite fit in the anime. However, the way the artist drew his muscles, the artist must of been on a DBZ muscle high at the time.

Case in point, here's an image comparison of the original sprite to Gura's tweaked version.

Besides the tweaked Oishi/Tomitake/Takano, also ended up reworking on the expressions of the girls (mainly Rena and Rika).
Rena doesn't have her ahegao anymore.

Mion is finally looking at you in her default sprite, and both hers and Rena's have now a closed mouth.

And several others.

Edit : uploading the 1.5 version, will be available in the same folder linked on my Tumblr.

Fucking Hibari 13. What the hell seriously, they added a ton of stuff in this new game and they just kept showing us what was already in the previous ones.

That's Hibari 13, a Yamainu that appears in a scene of Matsuribayashi, don't remember that ? That was Satoko's biggest "moment" of the arc.

It's more likely that he is Higurashi's own Amakusa, not the Umineko one, like Okonogi. Same characters but in different worlds.

Human world connections between Higurashi and Umineko is an impossibility, because in one supernatural exists and in another, it doesn't.

WEAOW so I've gotten through Onikakushi and gained some new appreciation for this story.

My impressions after the anime were pretty meh, especially the plot just seemed downright retarded to me. Unknown thing X that makes people go insane, time traveler girl looking for a rare dimension where everyone is happy, plus a villain who wants to kill everyone to avenge their mother or something. I couldn't really take it seriously.

But, the theme of people descending into insanity is right up my alley! And the VN does this with excellent writing!! The slow build-up of anxiety, isolation and paranoia feels real. And when Keiichi finally snaps...even though it is completely unnatural from an objective view, there's something very humane and sympathetic about it. It's believable.

To take that amazing feat of writing and make it a foundation for a murder mystery, though? I dunno about that. After reading this and Umineko, I feel like the writer's true talent is in the psychological horror side of things. I guess it's the mystery angle that makes these works stand out, though.

-First one sounds like an epic opening with lots of guitar, some parts kinda reminds me of a castlevania song)
-Kinda sounds like music for their club
-Last one is Vocal End song

The OST is missing a couple of songs, now I am disappointed

Here hair is darker than there seem to be more shadow, maybe this is to reflect the scene where it is used in? Did the bridge scene happen at sunset? I don't remember accurately anymore the time of day it took place, but if it was at sunset, it is a nice detail of MangaGamer to add to the sprite.
