Too bad the prevailing attitude is "My way or no way."

AOC praises President Biden and says he has “totally reinvented [the Democratic Party] in a far more progressive direction.”:

Quote:
For anyone who brings that up [i.e., opposition to the Biden administration], we really have to ask ourselves, what is the message that you are sending to your Black and brown and undocumented members of your community, to your friends, when you say nothing has changed?... When you say ‘nothing has changed,’ you are calling the people who are now protected from deportation ‘no one.’ And we cannot allow for that in our movement.

Once upon a time a President doing their job normally was considered normal and just another day.

Biden doing his job normally post Trump: "OMG he's amazing!"

Amazing how our expectations can change isn't it?

Some of his policies are to the left of Obama and he gets credit for that
but I consider Obama a disappointment, so that was a rather low bar.
And Trump was even way more lower than that.

Still, I hope they have a way to counter what's happening in Georgia
and if they could abolish the filibuster that would be great

Overall... we're doing better than the UK

It's like signing a law to make it legal to murder cats and then going on TV and saying, "This new law will make sure our precious cats are safe!"

Meanwhile, over in the Judicial Branch

Quote:
President Biden began a drive to reshape the federal courts on Tuesday with a burst of judicial nominations that put an emphasis on diversity and drew from a broad range of backgrounds including public defenders.

His nominees — led by Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson for the influential U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit — included three African-American women for appeals court vacancies and candidates who, if confirmed by the Senate, would be the first federal judge who is Muslim, the first Asian-American woman to serve on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia Circuit and the first woman of color to serve as a federal judge in Maryland.
https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/30/u...en-judges.html

I expect a few 51-50 votes for these nominees with Harris casting the deciding vote.

I really think Biden sees LBJ and FDR as his role models. Think big, act fast.

I wonder if he knows that he can be both a target and a suspect of separate investigations.

Let’s just say there is a trend of conservatives who accuse their opponents to be blood drinking pedophiles turning out to be pedophiles themselves

And this isn’t a new trend

The trend of politicians being guilty of what they accuse others is not limited to a particular letter next to their name.

That maybe so but it’s tends to bite republicans in the ass more often. They’re the ones who like to claim that they are anti gay, good morale Christians. Yet they are more often the ones being caught in gay sex scandals or close to Epstein.

Part of it might be because they did sell themself as more moral than the democrate.

Filibusters should be abolished yes, but the one thing I wish would be banned outright is piggybacking. You know, shoving in points to a proposal that have little to nothing to do with the purpose of the proposal. Honestly it sometimes feels like some crazy items are inserted in on bills simply because there's no way the other side would ever accept them, and once the bill is tossed out they can say the other side is opposed to something they weren't really opposed to. Either that or an attempt to sneak something through that would be immediately rejected on its own.

They claim moral but self righteous more applies. That is why such scandals are more common amongst them. Democrats are more openly diverse so those who are gay are more likely to be open about it rather than the closeted “good moral Christians” republicans tend to be.

Krystal & Saagar: EVERYTHING We Know About Underage Sex Trafficking Investigation Against Matt Gaetz
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tifynSaci1Y

So basically, with the current info than we got, the most reasonable course of action it to wait for more info and not taking a side on the situation.

Even McCarthy is saying that if it is true that Gaetz will be removed from his committees. That’s assuming he hasn’t been arrested.

Hey look at the bright side though. Qanon turned out to be right, they just focused on the wrong party

It just goes into the memory hole depending on the accused, like the photos of underage girls on Hunter Biden's laptop.

The laptop is still in question. No one has been able to verify the legitimacy of it from what I have seen. Not even a pro trump fbi. Meanwhile there is an actual investigation going on for Gaetz.

Two actually. One on the sex trafficking charges, and another on the alleged extortion of Gaetz and his father.
