Its a one volume arc and its a significant one because it introduce future enemies and this type of battle is different from raid type or direct confrontation battle.

Not all battles happen in the battlefield. People keep on discounting economic warfare without realizing how much more havoc economic warfare can do to a society than actual military action. Just see any developing country over the past 40 years or so.

What do you mean? LH ALWAYS have had Politics. Just look at the Round Table council and the negotiations with the People of the Land. This is one of the elements that sets LH apart from .hack and SAO.

Its not filler, its just mostly a breather arc and a setup for volumes 6 and 7.

You do know that Mamare (the author) loves to fill his stories with politics and economics. It's pretty much the hook for Log Horizon and what sets it apart from other MMO based fantasies. Heck MaouYuu was all about that.

Still its sad when people hand wave politics. Its a great subject and an active citizenry is what guards the republic from authoritarianism. People who don't try to understand it really don't have any reason to complain about current events.

Never new the author until I watch this.

I watch this because it was base on MMO which Iam a sucker for; other than that I never really consider it; and I like how the MC is mentally badass and a complete support type; unlike other MMO shows who has straight up MC fighter. Well I guess that made it unique, thats why I watch it

Correction: 7 for both web novel/published, and I think the Kanami side-story is on hiatus at 9 chapters.

It was already there as a recognizable/recognized entity.

Saying Shiroe created a country is like saying that China is less than 100 years old (and Russia less than 30) because political system changed suddenly.
