It's too soon to say, though. It could be they'll only be announced later.

There's nothing wrong with the design it's just that that skirt is too long. At best it should cover the knees, but this clearly go past that.

Guys, this is the official design from the Light Novels. It is even explained there, pointing out that at the time of the story, conventions about decency in clothing have changed, and that it's considered inappropriate to show naked flesh.

Feel free to criticize the original LN author for this decision (though I'd consider that really silly), but criticizing MADHOUSE for a faithful conversion doesn't make much sense to me.

Where did it say that the skirts were ankle-length?

The illustrations in the novel and manga looked knee length to me.

As for conventions, I know it was mentioned that no one wears stuff that show cleavage or too much leg, but even so skirts would never go past the knees.

In the end, though, since Ishida Kana is doing the character designs, it's ultimately up to him if he wants to make the anime designs a bit different from the ones he did for the LN.

I'm not arguing anything. Facts are facts. The length of the skirt is noticeable longer than they were depicted in the novel and manga. I hope it doesn't carry on over to the anime, but I can't help what we're seeing now. This conservative move is a bit out of character for Japan.

This very important. Anime is visual so we're going to be seeing these changes whether we like it or not. Besides, what else is there to talk about?

MADhouse has put a noticeable amount of effort into making this work, which makes this little, and completely unwarranted, change all the more aggravating.
