From the EXP pots, to the explosive fire potion mine, just around the time Shiroe was learning of what Nyanta found about cooking, Magus was already going all out with the Kouden concept.

It's Kuden guys, not Kouden.
I will take responsibility for spreading the typo, wasn't very familiar with the upper-tier of Menkyo Kaiden technique heritage system - only knew up to kaiden in fact.

It's still a clever exploit of mechanics; it wouldn't be too far of a jump to realize since these exploits are possible, it would also impact other items and skills, if Magus is smart enough to continuing his existing work. With those shiny glasses, this is almost a guaranteed outcome.

HML basically throws many MANY later book developments in earlier in the timeline. Henrietta bemoaning that she's attracted to Shiroe, but can't measure up even if she wanted to, came during the Libra festival (book 5) for example. Likewise the chemistry between Naotsugu and Maryelle only really comes into fore during the Sahuagin attacks of book 4.
And lets not even get into Nureha (who appears at the end of volume 2 of HML, during the 10-day gap before the Round Table Council is formed) here.
