Disccleaner pop up is driving me nuts

ive been trying to read fanfiction on Fanfiction.net but eveytime all the sudden the browser closes and you get this annoying message that the system could be infected with stuff click here to scan with Disccleaner

tried the scanning once, but seemingly to get it t actually work you have to register and pay cash, well i got decent scanners but the problem is the message popped up 4 times now int he last 10 minutes closing down ym screen and im gtting annoyed with it

so i had 2 questions:

- is this a pop up or a windows message thingy?
- how can i stop the thing from popping up every 2 seconds (why do people always have to make annoying popups > )

It's a popup and the program is a fake.
Remove the program, and see the sticky in this subforum for real programs that you should scan your system with. You are infected with malware somehow. Also, from your description, don't use IE.

Install Ad-Aware (google it) and let it remove everything that might have infected your PC (except cookies maybe).
