Something similar to my favs?
It seems like I've watched every worthy anime series out there, but I know that there must be one or two I've missed, so please if you know of one that is similar to my favorites, let me know. I'm just going to list my favorite shows in different categories, and if there is one that you think is similar, list it. Thanks!
Action/Story: Elfen Lied* FMA* Champloo FMP Scrapped Princess Bebop Wolf's Rain Drama (one's that made me a bit teary): KimiNozo Shingetsutan Tsukihime Comedy: School Rumble FMP Fumoffu Currently Watching: Welcome to NHK - like it a lot Avatar (don't know if this counts, lol) |

If you liked Scrapped Princess and FMA you might want to give Lyrical Nanoha A's a look. I'm not too discerning when it comes to fantasy, but I liked A's a lot more than Scrapped Princess, about the same as FMA anime, and less than FMA manga...
And Avatar totally counts. Toph kicks ass.

This is probably a stupid comment, but have you watched Outlaw Star? I like that series. It's kinda old, so it might have not been mentioned because everyone's seen it.

Do you like romance series or manga? Here are some series you haven't seen.
Marmalade Boy is a realistic romance series. The anime is 76 episodes. Kare Kano is a very well known and famous series. Bokura ga Ita is a really good series. Ayashi no Ceres is an emotional manga. The anime takes out a lot of the story, so read the manga, the anime isn't as poignant and emotional as the manga. The couple during the series are boyfriend and girlfriend and go through a lot of emotional events. Fushigi Yuugi I read all 18 volumes. The Fushigi Yugi manga is wonderful. The couple become boyfriend and girlfriend, get married and have a wonderful love story. The manga is 18 volumes, the anime only goes up to volume 13, so read the manga. It's 18 volumes and wonderful. Kare First Love is another emotional series, the main couple becomes boyfriend and girlfriend early on, there's lots of kissing and sex. Mars A very realistic romance series.. They are boyfriend and girlfriend in the beginning. Mars is an emotional manga. It is 15 volumes and the couple is dating in the beginning. The Devil Does Exist is a realistic romance series. Happy Hustle High is a great romance series. High School Debut Missile Happy! Wild Act Ultra Cute High School Debut and Ultra Cute and Paradise Kiss are some more series you might enjoy. Last edited by MamoruUsagi; 2010-07-26 at 21:42. |

thanks for the recommendations, i will check out the ones listed that i have not seen. Of the ones that people have been recommending, I have seen a good portion of them and the ones I really enjoyed were Fate/Stay Night, ayashi no ceres, and kare kano.
i guess the main thing i look for in a series is character development and story development. i want a series where you feel an attachment to the main character(s) and every plot turn makes an impact on the viewer. |
