Hopefully things pick up. I don't follow Japanese Twitter like I used to, and it usually takes weeks or months for the popular stuff to start showing up on Tora. So, it'll probably be a while before I see what starts to pop up.

Well the largest group of anime fans are in their 20s so the old school feel of this series wouldn't really appeal to them. Furthermore this anime doesn't have enough cute girls for today male anime fandom and the female anime fandom are probably gravitating towards Bang Brave Bang Bravern which has a much louder "BL dog whistle" element to it. (that ED!

) So I don't find it surprising that this anime is going unnoticed.

I have to say, I am disappointed in the lack of character development of the protagonist and heroine, especially the protagonist. The latest chance he had was the end of the first arc, but he is still pretty much the same whinny coward as before, so man, pretty disappointing.

I didn't think that neither the protagonist or heroine would not develop as characters throughout the entire anime. It felt so pointless, the two genies and Ichiya's motive was lame too The animation was definitely good, and it is nice to see hand-to-hand combat animated well, and the character designs themselves are good.
