Ha! Once upon a time, I wrote for a TV show that had a similar reputation to Shadow Bushido. Never got into a fight with anyone over it, though.

And my retired teacher mom wouldn't have lasted five minutes in the conformist hellscape school...

Having worked in the Japanese public education system, I'll just say the lines between fact and fiction got very blurry for me there.

it's amazing how this anime address real life problems that now 2023 are so real, the second case I won't be surprise if it's become more real in the future.

so underrated this anime.

I blame the parent. Yami Bushido's clearly for teens, so how about he parents, and not let his ~6years old children watch?

Also, does he seriously think that 4 sheets of signatures is a lot?

We enter in the super AI arc now.

The only comment I have is in the second case, humanoids and humans decide to believe what they want if it makes them feel better even if the humanoid/human behind it is doing it with bad motives. In this case it didn't matter, the article didn't change anything and even more karma to that woman since her father believe in teshigawara words.

This series is criminally underrated.

I interpreted as that her father was worried/despairing over his future in the hospital, so she bought the book for him to read and hopefully feel better about his future

Oh wow, this ep directly addressed one of my pet peeves with the setting, which is that it's practically the same as modern society just with a few shinier toys. I had accepted it as worldbuilding convenience so the series can explore cute short stories with artificial general intelligence. Though I guess it wasn't so much addressed as acknowledged, with the show's signature interpret-it-as-you-like presentation. The comparison of Michi to something like a Laplace's demon is neat.

pretty sad story, she didn't have a choice but in the end she did indeed wanted to kill risa and take her place and in the end the father can't pay since he is already dead.

huh... I thought the guy who commited the murder in previous chapters was seto, I was confuse when he appeared in this chapter, they really looked a like.

so underrated this anime, it was one of those jewels in the season. I'll give it 8/10. If there is a second season I'll welcome it.

I really wanted to give it a bump up but the last ep cliffhangered. Overall an interesting look at humans, humanoids, and AI along with the hangups its bound to bring with it. Teddy bear ep is my favorite.

7/10

Spoiler for manga:

Man, why do I always come to the really good ones so late. Darn my long work hours. At least it allowed me to marathon the whole thing in one go. It was a stellar anime, I hope we can get more like it.
