1 "problem" is while the MC is natural playboy, he is kinda donkan hetare

Looked around at this and turns out MC had a childhood friend who he was practically engaged to, but she died of illness half a year prior to the start of the story, then stuff happens to make him think she's also reincarnated in this isekai so...I'm inclined to believe the author is using that as an excuse to why he's being donkan to all the heroines.

The image is pretty misleading. From the image, I would guess her to be the sexy, proactive nee-san type. However, from the story, she is the "stupid dojikko" type...

Speaking about misleading, I quite liked the first arc. Affter teleportation, MC tries to catch up to much more gifted teammates and by being decisive and resourceful manages to become the de-facto leader. The normal adventuring wasn't bad too. However from the third arc on the MC is just leading a slow-life, after which it transforms into the "nanchatte tantei" (kinda-sorta detective) kind of story and drags on and on.

I especially dislike the MC, he is: hetare, hypocrite (like seriously, you won't kill them, but are OK with throwing them to the executioner to do it in much more inhuman way?) and has no motivation. He feels threatened by the heroes but never tries to become stronger (he can easily). Seems to dislike solving the big problems, but instead of seeking his own good starts solving detective drama. And I also hate how he instead of just massacring monsters or such (which he can do easily for huge gains) decides to do the detective work (which is hard as strength is not much important, creates enemies and he gains nothing).

He already has infinite money from all the monsters he accidentally encountered so there's no point to hunt more
And to rank up, number of quests is what matters so Finding Cat is fine too

Also, after all the isekai you read, you still want MC to hunt monsters? Really?

He is the one actually dirtying his hands by catching them, this just artificially makes him weaker. It's not like he "doesn't want" to give the finishing blow, he can't. It also makes no sense for the bandits to not try to run at any cost when they were moved to the city. If I had two options of either try running with 99% chance of getting beheaded or not running with 100% chance of gorry execution... hard choice to make, really.

And don't even speak about the adventurer guild system. Like seriously, you get a guy with noble backing, capable of zapping 20 super-strong monsters alone and you make him pick herbs and catch cats? Seriously? I think the world deserves to get destroyed if they can't do even such a basic resource management. I get why you might not have him guarding VIP, but I see no reason to restrict hunting stronger monsters...

And yes, I would rather see him going around killing monsters and trying to get stronger than the slugfest the "detective" work is.

Adventurer is about freedom so catching cat is fine, right? If that's what he wants
In fact, I hate when Guild Masters in other novels force MC to do difficult quests
I hate the authors too, coz if you want MC to contribute that much, why not make him Knight instead of adventurer?
As a Knight, it's your duty to save the Kingdom

He hates forests, not fighting monsters.

The problem isn't that MC decides to do it, the problem is, that he can't do anything more meaningful. He even directly states that he isn't taking the subjugation quests because it's just goblins etc. that are not even good for training for him.

And the thing with knight is exactly my problem, the MC is doing the job the knights should do (searching for criminals in the city) but contrary to usual he doesn't even get decently paid for that.
