^ She is just despairing. She lived her whole life for the sake of her kingdom, she has been preparing to give up her happiness by marrying the King, now marrying him actually just moves her beloved country and family closer to ruin and to add to all of that she just realized she loves exactly the guy that is her country's enemy and caused a good half of her problems.
Now she either breaks and stops doing anything (the typical dead eyes) or goes "crazy" and since nothing matter anymore she does something drastic. I actually hope for the second option as that is more fun (and Hercules seems to like the proactive types too). |

^Agree, i hope Sonia choose to do some drastic move and make Hercule like her.
Remember latest chapter is take place a few month back, the kingdom Cerda has surrendered without Hercule do anything (if he weren't lie). There is a high chance that Sonia might do something crazy for the sake of her country, something like she assassinated the king and her father who choose to support king's madness. |

^ Or just go the other way, if both her king and father (country and family) have betrayed her and whatever she does the country is gonna get ruined she might as well decide to side with Hercules, make the country give up in advance and at least somehow preserve it under Lemuria's rule instead of getting absolutely ruined by the war preparations and then pillaged by Lemuria after they inevitably lose.

I knew this will happen from the moment she asked to have her knights on the marriage. I expected the author to leave a cliffhanger on her answer though.
Now I am quite interested what happens to her. She either gets imprisoned (because there will be too much chaos to actually judge her without a king) or becomes the leader herself by bloodily suppresing the others. |

this was fun to read, although the author needs to adapt the style of show dont tell, i mean literally i cant count how many times he breaks storytelling for throwing tons of expositon at you not even in a clever way, you could tell a story and educate your readers without stoping every freacking chapter to throw texts of explanations without even trying to integrate that into the storytelling; you'r telling a story not giving a ted talk, also for a suppoedly psychopath mc this feels like the pg version with a no consequences and no real dynamic, its like the bare minimum of a psychopath thrown into a ore tuee character with a world so forgiving of him you'r bound to actually get fed up and root against him at times, except i should root against him because hes a psycho, not like in every other work because of the author giving him every benefit, so the no feeling psychpath thing is kind of pointless in the long run, since practically its just an afterthought instead of being an actual characteristic, also i wont even get to the wars part i think many others commented on how many times it got boring during those, and for this lentgh i would have expected the author to at least have one confrontaion with an actual rival, but seems like only now its getting to that part so late into the story, and so far only disposable pieces have been used as obstacles
so id recommend this only for the girls and the harem, cause the reforming and the revolutionizing are done way better and seamlessly in many other works, just dont expect much on the exploration of the psychological side, cause the whole thing is a gimmick here Last edited by becool; 2020-02-02 at 14:08. |
