Overall, I'm once again enjoying the directing in this show. The story may be a bit simple but there's so much atmosphere to this show and the characters. I just find it amazing how this show can have a girl like Akane go so seamlessly from totally normal to nail bitingly scary just from a few sentences.

For example, the kaiju girl (called Anoshiras II only in the credits) is a callback to the original Gridman ep 6, which had the MCs fight Anoshiras, a harmless cyber kaiju which the enemy had brainwashed. The brainwashing was broken by playing a melody via the keyboard. |

It almost guarantee that this is cyber-world
Problem is, I don't think Akane created everything She probably take information from real world to create people That's why she doesn't have a perfect world for her and repeatedly "Destroy & recreate" process Now, from unexpected Anoshiras appearance. This show likely continuation of original than remake For Anoshiras to just reveal everything is too sudden But with this plot can go on to another step. I believe part of MC group will be reset sometime after this Either be delete memory or just get rid out of picture If it is first, whole MC group will lose their memory except one (MC or Rikka) If it is second, Glass-kun would likely be a sacrifice. I may be wrong, but now this series is a lot more interesting to watch

I mean... they wouldn't point out that Akane is a lonely person and that she is being used if they didn't want to make it sound like she's a person that needs saving.
There is the line in the opening, "I've come to save you from boredom". It's practically confirmed at this point the OP lyrics have plot significance since Oishi mentioned on Twitter he had to rewrite the lyrics around 3 times because he was giving too much away. (Here's a link to that tweet BTW.) |
