Manga 'Rokuhoudou Yotsuiro-Biyori' is getting an anime adaptation. A slice of life series with food elements.

Plot:

The story takes place at a popular Japanese-style tea house called Rokuhōdō. Four specialists work there: Sui makes the tea, Gure creates latte art, Tsubaki makes the sweets, and Tokitaka cooks. In addition to serving their customers, they sometimes help them solve their problems.

Great, more food anime to make me hungry... Anyway, I liked what I read of this manga so I look forward to the anime.

What is it with Nakamura and food manga/anime, anyway? Sweetness & Lightning, PapaMeshi, now this... Poor guy finally managed to get slimmed down, too.

Something tells me they're going to use their softer voices for this one... From what I've read of the manga it's a sort of feel-good slice of life. The guys do stuff at the restaurant (one cooks yummy food, one makes cute sweets, one brews tea, and the manliest one does the latte art) and make the patron-of-the-week's life a little brighter.

Haha, they bond with each other as well, actually by the end of volume 7 they're as good as married IMO. There's even a spinoff about them bonding over drinking and making food to go with the drinks. (I tried some of the recipes and they're sooo tasty. The meals are actually pretty easy to make so even kitchen disasters like me can't screw them up.)

Episode is out.

It's a pretty comfy show with slice of life style of storytelling. I would like to know more about the main guys in this series though as they just seems to be there for their roles at the moment. The food surprisingly looked creatively well made and realistic.

The cafe place itself looks pretty normal too.

Not expecting a complicated story from this but it's definitely going to be very relaxing to watch for the season.
