One thing I'd meant to mention before was that girl Tsubaki, the way that after... let's say "confessing" to Eiko... she grabbed Tama and shot off with her. The next scene I didn't notice on first view but Tama's in the background with her head in on the desk under her arms, maybe exhausted or stifling tears... just what did Tsubaki DO to my girl?

It was an anime original, actually. Most kirara series don't show that much, altough I did have my doubts since reading experience tells me Hakka-ya isn't afraid of showing curves on the ladies.
Having said, I really liked it, simply because of how funny it was, and lets be honest, there were a lot of nice things to look at, specially Eiko. Also, Tama's comedy was at an all high this time, guess sexy times really are her forte. Oh, and I loved how Kamu is just posing for no reason while they're first explaining things to Hannen (that was some scene she walked into!). |

Bored of beach fanservice? Get a load of indoor swimsuit activities and indoor swimming pool fanservice.
DEM shion and her huge BAZOONGAS! 100/10 But Hannen isn't far behind. Her string incidents was funny. Also, fresh lychee and pettanko jokes, indoor swimsuits, deym massage, forgotten undergarments, and Shion's spare mildly suggestive underwear are just fun to watch.

I feel bad for Tama. Like I thought when she wore the star suit, she's not just flat, she's literally got nothing. She's absolutely adorable but like I said before and she's now personally recognized, even Kamuri is better endowed. If I recall correctly Tama wears a bra, but there's no way that's for anything but show. But hey, at least she's still soft enough that you can tell she's a girl.

Looks like Slow Start is progressing towards where I imagined it would go – good execution all around.

Thought this would just be another generic fun in the beach episode.. did not expect they would do things indoors. everyone looks cute in swimsuit. Tama looks like she has nothing at all.. flat as a board. @_@ Ah, and nice indoor pool they got there. ^^

Slow Start at its finest is when it shows the characters living in the moment; Hana and the others bring their summer to life in a way that only this group of friends can, at their own pace. The summer theme of the eleventh episode makes me wish this winter would wrap up so warmth may return to the land.

Ok, that was nice.. Hannen finally has the courage to study for the test. At least issue was resolved at the end of the anime. Wish the yandere girl that has a crush on Eiko had more screentime. 7/10

For me, this series was a disappointment. At first it seemed to hold the promise of being something a little different from the standard cute girls doing cute things but guess the allure of that tried and true approach was just too strong in the end. The greatest part of the disappointment was how many ideas and potential plot points seemed to be just hinted at and never really explored. At the beginning I really thought this would be different but at the end it just could bring itself to be so.

Yeah, it suffers a bit from the fact that it's based on 4-koma that is still ongoing I think. So no way was it going to tie up all the threads.
On the other hand I pretty much enjoyed it. Although, I wasn't a fan of the more fanservicey bits, the dealing with social issues bits were engaging enough for me and characters fun (Tama) or interesting (Eiko and Teacher) enough to be fun even when it wasn't doing it's central theme. I can't really recommend it, unless someone is into yuri stuff. And even I wouldn't care much for it just for that, but in this case the elements just clicked to make it fun for me. I can't guarantee the same for others.
