The rottenness spreads.

When Kuon and Anju met I was thinking Diplomatic Incident between two countries princesses. Being grown up it is a bit ironic Kuon doesn't see herself in Anju when she was younger. Having the same reaction probably when her mothers were raising her.

All of the stuff we've seen of Kuon when she was younger showed her being notably younger than Anju is here. Also, the sake incident in particular appeared to have provided its own punishment. Also also, Anju appeared to have no concept that she was doing anything wrong, while from what little we've seen of Kuon's childhood she knew when she'd done something bad, it's just that her overwhelming curiosity drove her to do it anyway

ah.... so now they managed to corrupt the legal heir of Yamato empire and one of the general

I didn't expect that spanking scene though

this episode is GATE all the way again... where fujoshi's virus is rampaging and infecting Imperial generals and princess

Agreed that it reminds one of GATE episodes ... but I think it is a little more "purposed" in this case.

In GATE the point was "merely" a trope to be mined. At the moment (this is speculation, of course) it seems to be a trope to be mined, yes, but with a larger purpose more related to the overall narrative. It may be used as a convenient "hook in" for Haku's circle being able to interact with the BL lit author/general.

To that extent this is one of the "contributions" of the character of Princess Rurutie in furthering the overall storyline. Hopefully there will be more than just this one for her, though. ^^
