Spoiler:
Although since we're talking about DxD, they'd actually be happy. Joking aside, why do I feel out of place as the only person who actually liked the episode. Of course, maybe I should have put 9/10 on the poll due to QUALITY, but that'll get fixed later. I'm especially looking at the other LN fans since we knew that it was going to be like this for around a month before the air date. Just learn to like things as they are without the tinted glasses. Well other than before mentioned QUALITY, I didn't have any problems with the episode so for the LN guys that are complaining, please stop. Unless it's actual criticism of the episode and not biased They Changed It Now It Sucks. I can't wait for this Saturday!

Episode 4. Interception, Commence
Before I go with the downside aspects I perceived in this episode, let me tell you the positive points.
The action was top notch, and characters delivered some tense, drama points. It is way better than what S2 offered and delivered. Koneko faces forward, and Akeno has to inspire herself in order to carry on regardless of her family past with Baraqiel. Sona wants to make sure that peace reigns all over Makai and allowing low-level demons to participate at future rating games. Irina, though an angel now, retains and keeps her friendship and goodwill towards Xenovia. Now, discussing the downside of this episode, I believe that Isseis's supposedly death was overacted. Honestly, I cannot fathom or think he'll be going down that easily by a mere monster or an underling. The possibility manifests that the writers needed to pull out a dramatic punch in order to force Rias letting out all of her wrath and placed on the spotlight, and Issei getting hurt in such a life-threatening context pushed the require buttons for her going apocalyptic mode. |
