That's only my guess; I have no idea if that's what it actually stands for.

Really? *sigh* I guess I'm just gonna have to get used to the fact that this show is going to be damn near incomprehensible to me unless I somehow manage to master the Japanese language.

Klim Nick really makes me smile, I love how passionate all the pirates seem to be about protecting Aida. I don't know if it's out of some sort of real loyalty though or just the fact that she can pilot the G-Self and they probably need it to oppose the capital army in the long run, though unless the army has way better suits then those Rectens and Catsiths I'd almost have to wonder if they aren't a little outmatched considering Klim in his Montero pretty much handles a bunch of them by himself until Dellensen showed up. My question is how do the pirates expect to get what they want with all these little raids and how do the capitals allies from overseas they are trying to wine and dine in the 2nd episode come into play. I just see this leading to an actual conflict now rather than the capital just giving in and relinquishing control over the photon batteries and space elevator considering they actually have an army now, but we'll see how that goes.

Reading the additional materials is a help in understanding the world G-Reco is in.

It may start out confusing for now, but give it time to develop.

Heck, even the next episode blurb mentioned something on the lines of "even if you dont want to watch it, watch it!"

One point of interest is the meaning of Kuntala.

Actually, you are absolutely right about this.

Kinda why it almost went under the radar for me, not much has been done for accessible background info before the show. I literaly went into this show knowing nothing. And got utterly disappointed during "Episode 1".

As long as it's just a help and not essential in understanding the whole story, I welcome it with open arms. But if it turns out that the series is dependent on the info provided on the official site for the audience to understand what the hell is going on, it shows that the narrative in this series is not very good. I mean, most mecha series in the 70s, 80s, and early 90s don't even need internet sites for the audience to understand the overall story during the airing. All the audience have to do is watch the damn thing and maybe read some synopsis from an article in a magazine or something before the show aired.

This is precisely what I'm doing. I let the show reveal what they want to reveal and when they want to reveal it. I just hope the show itself delivers. And yeah, they really need to explain further and deeper about Kuntala in the show, not just on their official site because it seems rather important.

Huh. Usually when I make a guess about Gundam, the show immediately goes out of its way to prove me wrong.

Well, they said that the pirates are actually recognized by the Amerians and since they also have the son of the Amerian president on their side, it was my thinking that the Amerians were more of privateers than anything else. They are pirates, but they really are working for the Amerian government, though not "officially".

That's my impression as well. Plausible deniability and all that...
