Sometimes things are done for mutual obligation rather than profit. Treaty says you need to help us....okay I guess we have to help you.

One Billion Dollars is cheap. You are not thinking like a country.

This reminded me of some student being impressed when told how much it costs the school to build a new wing extension, when it was just par for the course. The US military can spend a billion dollars doing nothing at all, and no one would have noticed.

For America, the war in Libya might as well be considered free.

That's standard practice internationally. Everyone everywhere had been doing secret burials for controversial figures for decades now, this is hardly new.

They did that for Nazi war criminals, and now it has become standard procedure. The only questions are incineration or not, and land or water.

Saif al-Islam Gaddafi and Abdullah al-Senussi had concluded they were safer handing themselves in rather than remaining on the run in Libya, or trying to hide in a neighbouring country.

The Hague-based court issued arrest warrants for the two men and Col Gaddafi in June for their role in the bloody attempted suppression of the February 17 revolution.

A spokesman for the court said he had no information on any proposed deal or negotiations, however.

Diplomatic sources also said they had no information to suggest the claims were true.

"They are proposing a way to hand themselves over to The Hague," said Abdel Majid Mlegta, a senior military commander with the National Transitional Council (NTC). "They feel that it is not safe for them to stay where they are or to go anywhere."

A few centuries ago the people that suffered under the viking pillaging wouldn't call them honorable either and would've thought of a viking burial like burning the trash
