Outrageously hilarious dialogue and activity in this episode, for the most part.
I can see that this is one massively decompressed anime, though - amazing how little actually happened in this episode. However, it rarely failed to entertain me (a couple of Hitagi's jokes fell flat on me, but most of them were great), so I don't really care. Actually, with this dialogue, over-the-top reactions, and stylish standout background animations and art work, they can decompress this anime as much as they want. I have to admit that I got a real kick out of seeing the little Shana-esque grade-school girl get her butt kicked. So rare to see a tsundere personality get her comeuppance like that. This is definitely my guilty pleasure anime. It's a lot of fun!

Loved the opening verbal dueling between Hitagi and "Tsundere-chan" while they played in the park and chatted. Personally, I'd be fine if the whole series were like that.
Interesting voice casting for the "lost snail"... though even after Tsundere-chan's explanation of why she hated kids, I was a bit ... "eh?". .... and apparently the staplers are back (if they ever left). The dialog was terrific but the incessant Shinbo still shots and fast static cuts force an "8" out of me. I'm grumbling "one trick pony" ... fortunately the personalities seem to make the show work. Hitagi managed to be less stupid while being massively stupid as if that makes any sense. However, a couple of times in the first few moments, I was thinking "kiss her you idiot". This may be a series I like despite the director's antics

^ Sorry to do this, but I think you mean "Koyomi" instead of "Hitagi"?
Otherwise, yep, I basically love their banter a lot. So much that while I'm waiting for the next episodes, I keep on playing this episode in the background before I go to sleep. ;-) |

Oops... yeah, still trying to learn the character names (Tsundere-chan's real name is a particular mouthful) and it was really late when I was watching the episodes I've seen so far last night.

Haha, the episode is great, but i don't know why. Maybe because the dialogue amused me and the background is marvelous. Then the change between screen's also great. Finally, we have the loli fight.... and yeah at least they played realistic as he was not kicked in the ass by a real elementary school girl.
Also, not sure, but is the author/director trying to play with our brain or what? Senjougahara probably do her best in making proposes (by stereotype standard) and Araragui just brushed all of them away....

Episode 3
-I was wondering why Araragi’s voice sounded so familiar and now I know, it’s because Araragi’s seiyuu is the same one that did Takemoto in Honey and Clover! -I like how Senjo knows just what to do to make Araragi blush. -What is with all these passwords? This episode’s was park… -The way they animated the argument/fight between Araragi and his sister was done brilliantly. I loved it! -Some of the expressions of Araragi and Senjo in this episode were priceless! -I get the feeling that Senjo has fallen for Araragi and that when she asked him if he wanted a gf she was expecting for him to say yes. -The scene when Araragi hit the little girl to get her attention was hilarious! I wasn’t expecting him to do that at all. -Why does that little girl dislike Araragi so much? - I know that little girl was horrible, but Araragi should not have fought her like he did, it was’t very fair. - The little girl is a snail?!

well
actually I don't know if I'm the only one disappointed here. Senjougahara's voice is getting to my nerves and I don't like some of the faces they make, which seems completely out of place here. And as someone said elsewhere, I don't like it when the hero tries to sound like Kyon.
Anyway, the animation is still top notch, and I liked the surprising fight with the school girl. gave it a 6 and waiting for the rest.

I know i'm quite late...but damn this series is really addicting haha. Especially this episode, it was so fun! The dialogue and the interaction between the two is just too funny/cute.
Also, senjougahara (or w/e it was) has a perfect voice for her character imo, it fits so well. At times though in this episode, i really wanted him to just ask her out/kiss her :X. |

I had a question about this episode. Hopefully without any spoilers . Edit: I have seen the first 5 episodes. So i will add a third part to my question .
When Senjogahara asks Kyomi if he wants a girl friend and he says no, was she expecting a YES ( because she had fallen from him) Or was she relieve he said no and only asked for a drink ( Because her obligation was gone). To me it is a bit confusing. I think Aragi told her no because he felt she was just doing it out of obligation. But at the same time, her reaction was like " You are stupid/what a shame. I wanted you to say yes" or maybe " what a shame. I wouldn't have mind becoming your Gf " i don't know *_*. But then based on translation she says " you are so noble"( did she say that because he just wanted a drink or he said even no to gf proposal)?". That's the part that is confusing. Is she disappointed he said no. Or is she relieve he said no " Obligation gone or she didn't want to become his gf ( maybe at least out of obligation, Or put your reason if you think this way). I personally am leaning to, " She was disappointed she said no, because she had started to like him". as for You are so noble comment, could be because he only wanted a drink (unselfish) or maybe because he said no to gf thing. I don't know *_*. Would be nice if some one fill me in here or explain it to me . THHHX . P.S. To summarize my questions. Did she propose to him to become his GF, obligation or because she liked him or a combination of both. And Was she relieved or disappointed or combination of both he said no? Also was she testing him in episode 3 ( that she only helped him because it was her like she was a cute girl) or was that a serious confession ? I mean was she doubting or she already knew that Aragi would help any one that needed help? back in episode 3 that is

Also another question ( not as important as above one *_*).
Aragi tells her if she is feeling grateful to him " She should just stop now. otherwise it will be hard for them to get along" What did he mean. Also she says regardless she wants to do him one favor then they can become friends of equal status ( what did she mean *_* ). Like we are even ( because she owed her or that she was above him then before she does something for him). Also she was disappointed that she didn't confess then and said friends, but then she said no to her to proposal of becoming his gf. So confusing. Whyyy ?
