problem with cutie honey live action

hi, um cutie honey live action is a .mkv file. My windows media player plays it fine. The picture and audio match but for some reason there are no subtitles. Is it my codec that has a problem or there just isn't sub titles for it.

I can get it to play fine. I don't know about the sub titles yet but the movie is seriously chugging on my computer. I know the computer isn't very fast but it plays most other files just fine. Is there anything that can be done. I think this computer is about 600mhz (I know it's slow and hopefuly it's a temp but I still got a few months before I can get another computer)

[Edit]
I changed a setting and it's a tiny little bit better but the sound, video, and sub titles are all out of sync with each other.
