Did the lyrics of the ending song make any sense at all?
I don't understand most part of the song. The song itself is pretty good, anyway. OP on the other hand, is a perfect 10/10 for me

Even despite all those positive opinions, I still can't quite handle the OP's OP, so to say. It just completely fails the overall mood of the piece. The chanting later on is strange, but somewhat fitting, but the beggining is just meh. Other than that, an excellent song. The ED is just hypnotic...

I really had no problems with the beginning and end of Tabi no Tochuu, the opening part didn't fit very well, but the ending with the "La ra rai" or whatever they say just amplified the "Noo, don't leeeaaave"-feeling i got from the song
But now i can't bloody stop singing on the ending. It doesn't sound half-bad when i do it...until i hit the high notes...then it sounds like i'm being stabbed in the throat with needles till i bleed to death. "I'm a little 'olf inside a girl...etc, etc..." |

The opening song is very beautiful, as it starts with the woman, who is essentially singing for Horo who has been alive for, a long, long time.. Then the male comes in to represent her meeting with Lawrence, then they sing as a duet. At least that's how it seems to me, and it's a very beautiful song that's fitting of the story.
The ending is... Silly... Laughable... Entertaining... Delicious. Enough said, right? I think I just covered every point the ending had going for it.

^^ Good to hear. This morning I happened to check for the release date for the OST. Didn't realize that it was coming out this very week. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Looking forward to hearing it.

What an absolutely wonderful soundtrack. From the first track right until the end, it's such a joyful listen. Favorite tracks will probably come later from me, though the end result will probably me all of them.

First OST I've purchased in since the new year started.... looking forward to it (though I had it shipped via weasel and kayak ... gasoline costs are starting to really affect shipping costs).

I love Medieval and Medieval-inspired music. I never expected to find an anime OST that catered to this love though. Very happy indeed! I can't wait to play this one for hubby since he likes this type of music as well.

offtopic --- but you might take a look at a group from Europe called "Medieval Babes". They're mostly acappella and specialize in music from the pre-Renaissance period and earlier. Once in a while for a twist they'll take an old piece and update it.
Not sure if they're still active but most of their albums are still in print.
