The Legend Of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
I know we've pretty much come to expect every Zelda Game to be awesome in some way, but this one just blew my mind when I saw the trailer located.
The Boomerang now makes use of the stylus and I'm sure that's not the only item designed specifically for the DS' novelties. Swords, Bombs and such all seem interchangable between the buttons and the stylus now, and the bombs seem aimable with the stylus. Plus that awesome Sailing Music which I think is the best Zelda song of all time seems to be back in remixed form. I'm sure some are apprehensive about the sailing bit, but I personally didn't mind it at all. The downside is that the Japanese release is in two weeks, but North America has to wait until the fourth quarter. I hate it when game companies delay popular titles until Christmas. For one thing it's annoying and commericialistic, and for another, you know that once Christmas is over, there are going to be maybe 1 or 2 must buy titles per quarter until the next Christmas season when they spam out all the heavy hitters. I want to see this change, but I don't think its going too. Despite the delay I am looking forward to this game very much, as well as the day when all games get worldwide releases on the same day and a Language option. This is the first thing I expect out of this generation is a Language option to make worldwide releases possible. |

I'm a big Zelda nut so this game can't come any sooner, I'll probably end up getting the japanese version aswell, I can't hold out lol. English release need to come as quick as possible but sigh* unfortunately importing seems the way cause Nintendo Australia screw us over.
I am very interested to see how the stylis mechanics go, I dont know much at all about this game, mainly due to me wanting to keep all spoilers to the absolute minimum(kinda regreted knowing everything about TP.) |

I've heard a lot of people complain about Wind Waker's art style, and then heard about this and whined about it having a sequel. Quite frankly, I loved the Wind Waker style and story, and can't wait for this game. I'm interested to see what questions it will answer about the fate of the world after the events in Wind Waker. The unfortunate part is that I don't yet have a Nintendo DS, but with the pushed back release date, I can probably get a DS and grab the game on its launch date.

The people who whine about the cartoon graphics only do so because they think a game can only be good if it has realistic graphics. Wind Waker had the same essential gameplay Ocarina of Time did yet it was dismissed by many only due to the art style. Personally I liked the art style, and Wind Waker was a better game then the more realistic Twilight Princess imo, goes to show graphics don't mean everything.
Phantom hourglass looks brilliant, all things considered with it being on the DS and all. |

I loved Wind Waker, so I'm glad this Phantom Hourglass is its sequel. It has that Link's Awakening vibe, too, which is all the better, say some people.
The game flow will be that there's one main dungeon where you have a time limit to find some treasure charts that lead to other islands. That way you will gain more time that you can spend in the main dungeon, to uncover more treasure charts. Repeat until you have cleared the main dungeon, or something.

In Japan it's released this Saturday. In North America it's Fourth Quarter, which means nothing other than December as far as anyone here knows or is concerned. Also game release day is Tuesday here so it'll either be December 4th, 11th, or 18th, but obviously not the 11th. If I were to pin it down I would guess December 18th will be the day, but that's just the street date it will probably be December 19th at the earliest when you can get your copy.

Yeah, I have been playing(I only download Japanese games, not really an excuse but bleh, Pokemon Diamond (Jap)(own authentic english), Super Robot Taisen etc
Well the game has been very good so far, the stylus only controls are great, very easy to use and intuitive. The other DS exclusive controls are great and the DS is put into full use. |

like that were an MM only, though there were masks in OOT, they didn't do anything really.
My advice is not to import if you don't have basic japanese reading skills. I was lucky that I had enough to work out this puzzle, otherwise I'd still be there going, wtf. |

Well, there's also GFaqs, but that may or may not help, depending on the guide.
It was on sale at a local store where I live, but I opted to wait until a version that I can fully understand comes out and got Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2/Japanese Elite Beat Agents 2. |
