Ep 4...one major battle between Saber and Berserker.

I wonder though, how will Saber defeat Berserker when Shirou can't supply her with mana?

Saber will have to put her wits into a favourable strategy or could attempt the strike-escape approach.

Strike Berseker when the condition are apted for an opening within the enemy's line, then escape from the foe's perimeter and repeat the whole operation over and over.



By the way, Ilya-chan is just creepy cute.

Mind, the reason I created the Episode 3 thread so early was because I had just created the new F/sn forum and I also created the first three discussion threads at the same time (for convenience).

So yes, it is a bit early. We do a similar thing with the Mai Otome thread (but Catgirls also adds this note "Also, since these threads go up early, unrestrained speculation about the upcoming episode will be knee-deep. If you haven't seen the Episode, I would advise you not to click into the thread prior to the Fan-sub release, or don't complain if you're spoiled."). So it now allows speculation to be posted before the show airs.

Is this considered a good thing or bad? If preferred, we could wait until the day before it airs or the actual air date before it gets created. I suspect their isn't a good answer to this, some would prefer the thread to contain speculation in the early posts and others could do without it.

Yes, I may have "jumped the gun" a bit too early - perhaps from Ep. 5, I'll create the thread a day prior to the initial airing on TVK.

In the meantime, since the thread for Ep. 4 has been created already, I guess we can start with speculations based on the preview at the end of Ep. 3.

By the looks of it, I think Ep. 4 will show a bit more of Ilya, so that first time viewers will get a hang of who and what Ilya is like...other than being a typical loli-type "oniichan-kko."

im hoping she is more of a teasing phsyco type, as she will say onii(ee) chan in cute way but be a total phsyco wench when she sends berserker into battle.

I have a feeling saber will be the one to engage berserker, rin may throw some of her Ruby Rin magic rubies ( lol that Magic Ruby Rin pic will always be in my mind). Should be a close match as berserker is kept well under control and saber isnt at full strength. However i think Ilya will pull out of the fight

Well, if it's rampant speculation..I got no problem with that.

Assuming that the fight between Saber and the man-mountain ends in a draw. I'd like to see what happens next since Saber can't become a spirit. and since her mission is to protect Shiro..I'd be interested in the living arrangements.


1) Does she try to convince Shiro to let her sleep in the same room (maybe even the same bed?) as him?

2) What would the reaction of Sakura and Fuji-nee to Shiro's new housemate? *snicker*

3) Does she go to school with him?

I can see Shiro's life going to a new phase of hell.....*lol*

The big issue is how will Shiro manages to conceal Saber's identity as the servant "Saber" from his peers and friends at both house and school, if he hasn't the magical abilities to turn Saber into spirit form?

If I recall correctly from episode two, anyone intruder to the Holy Grail War must be silenced. Shiro paid the price for being at the wrong place at the wrong time the first time, and almost had a close shave the second one.

Any civilian who sees Saber not fighting another servant rather under normal circumstances will have to get killed also?

He doesn't have to conceal and he doesn't have to tell them shes a 'servant'.

Total physcos are no fun and doesn't fit the 'mysterious dollish, kawaii, evil(or maybe not) loli' archtype.

If we follow the plot from where the last episode ended.....

Ilya happens to arrive on a quite convenient time after Shirou is notified the dynamics of the "Holy Grail War".

Why she exposes herself along with her servant to Shirou, and even before the presence of Rin who is another master?
A. Ilya sees an opportunity to strike Shirou first, because she's acknowledged that he possess almost zero in magic power.

This is the reason why she approached him on their first meeting and jokingly teased with a naughty tone that he was going to die unless learning how to summon the sooner.

Ilya is taking advantage of Shirou's naivety and ignorance regarding the Grail Wars to secure a first solid victory and not overlooking the chance that one of the seven masters is a weakling.

Ilya knew with simple glance that Shirou was a potential master at the very start, and maybe she knows more about the war than what Kotomine kept for himself.

I'm pretty sure that Shirou has decent magic power, just zero talent/affinity. You can't even become a Sorceror without at least some magic power.

Thats mainly what i had in mind of whats's gonna happen.. maybe they'll have the fight scene for the first half of the episode like with episode 03, and then onto..
