Watched this for the first time tonight and don't know why I waited so long. It was, amazing. Simply, amazing. I want to know what took me so long to watch this, agh. My only problem is... how did her shirt turn blue?

Well, I will definitely be getting the blu-ray. By the way... why isn't Nausicaa on the cover? >.>

Please pardon the double post. I didn't want to ruin my first one, it's so pretty.

Hayao Miyazaki is one of the greatest writer of all time, you should watch his other stuff too!

I think I watched Nausicaa at least 50 times when I was a kid, to the point where my mom was desperate to get me to watch other shows, same with Castle in the Sky.

I also wouldn't mind knowing why it's taken you so long to watch a masterpiece of a film . If you enjoyed it so much, i recommend the manga which continues the story. Story and Art both by Miyazaki Hayao.

Has the BR only just been released in the US? It's been out here since October.

It isn't even out yet! March 8th! They should have made it the 11th since that's it's original premiere date, but new BD/DVDs come out on Tuesdays, so yeah. But I really want to know why Nausicaa isn't on the cover! It's like Lando Calrissian on the cover of Empire Strikes Back (except that Asbel isn't nearly as great)! >.>

Erm, that is Nausicaa on the cover, it looks like one of Miyazaki's original drawings but it's her alright, look at the emblem on her helmet.
Oh man, I heard that this was coming out on BR but, since I don't have a BR player yet, I figured I'd pass on it for now. But if it's a BR+DVD combo I want get this nooooooow!

Is it really? Wow. Color me stupid then. I see weapons, and a helmet in dark colored clothes. If I squint I can see her goggles though.

Yeah, it's from the manga.

Pretty strange that the US cover isn't this.

I thought that the manga series was actually a better story than the movie (although I liked the movie too). I would agree that Miyazaki is a talented story writer as well, though!

Two different license studios. But that one is much better.

I did some reading and they did change some stuff, however it worked out wonderfully. And when the original creator is doing the adapting, it helps a lot. I do plan on checking out the manga though.

I accidental saw it in a video shop and it reminded me of Miyaki. I praised the person in how he directs or writes the animation he made. He sure is a inspiring figure to me.

Proud to say at manage to see all his works with Studio Gibli

This is my second favorite anime movie (first is Princess Mononoke). Definitely worth the time to watch.
