Finally completed the base game of Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. All Lost Tales of Greece, all locations and all other questlines are 100% complete and right on time, too, as the grind was slowly but surely becoming a mind-numbing slog (the only two open-world games that I found more tedious to grind out to 100% were Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Hogwarts: Legacy). I have therefore decided to take a long break from Odyssey before starting to work on the two major DLCs, especially the Fate of Atlantis, which is...oh boy (three maps!). The only thing still on my to-do list aside from the expansion packs is that new quest they added a couple years ago as a tie-in to Valhalla...but I'll get to it whenever I feel like picking Odyssey up again.
Anyway, I'm glad I finally stopped procrastinating and pushed myself to finally complete it (for the third time now!), years after accidentally losing the save games and nixing their cloud backups. I made some different choices, found much pleasure in revisiting (and further exploring) certain spots and ripped my way through the islands at ungodly speeds, clearing every location I came across very methodically. I did it so extensively and intensively that, towards the end, I was slowly but surely starting to break the game itself: I was inadvertently looting items that played a role in quests I hadn't started yet...or doing stuff that would have consequences on certain questlines. It resulted in some oddities (like the pirate treasures questline not working properly...or summoning an NPC whose existence Alexios shouldn't have been aware of, since I accidentally made sure the two of them never got to meet properly), but nothing too serious. Thankfully. Now...to ponder what to play next. Decisions, decisions... All I know is that it won't be a recent triple-A game; I need to tighten my belt ATM.

I'm currently juggling my very limited free time between both Watch Dogs 1: Bad Blood DLC (PS4) and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII - Reunion (PS5).
After I have beaten both games, I plan to platinum Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade (PS5) and then finally play Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (PS5).

I'll complete Disc 2 of original FFVII probably tomorrow, so I am getting closer to what my next game is. I had been planning to go right to FFVII Remake, but some friends said a nice, short diversion may be Little Kitty, Big City on Steam.
