Not really. Im not gonna spoil too much since amatsunagi is doing summaries, but even without his guns the MC becomes a total badass with stats way beyond the Hero classmate. A closer analogy would be Rambo, or maybe the Predator. He just makes up some railguns and grenades to augment his innate abilities. He is definitely no idiot.
