It depends on which box set box you are after, and who the distributor is. I have seen some boxes released on their own before, I know that
RightStuf occassionally do. Bear in mind that it isn't common practice to release a box on it's own, so you might have more luck with 2nd-hand sales or auction sites like eBay.
