And no, the patch likely wouldn't work with a new version if there was a whole extra route in it unfortunately, though I don't know if that's still even happening anyway. Type-Moon are planning to make something completely new apparently, and Realta Nua comes out in a few months. I just want a copy of the game where the money goes to them - auction copies are £150 and how much new profit do Type-Moon get? Oh wait, none. What a waste. Mirror Moon seem to be quite completionist when it comes to Nasu's stuff though, they may well update the patch and translate the extra route if they haven't broken down from from overwork yet.

Aaanyway, started on Ciel's route last night. Arc's was fantastic even though I did die a few times. She's easily my favourite character at the moment (which surprised me, as in most pics I've seen and in Melty Blood she came across as kind of stiff and not really my character at all, though that's not how she comes across at all. Kohaku's in second, but that's hardly surprising - I'd rather have her as the maid. Anyway, spoilers:

How many people ended up on DNM the first time? I did >_> Stupid dead end route, first time I died I played through it again wondering where the choices were before going back to a save past it and realising they'd put in an entire fake chapter to confuse everyone. It's been great so far from beginning to end though, never been a moment where I was bored unlike Ever17 where the good stuff involved going through a fair bit of tedious stuff too. The first time Arihiko's portrait came up I couldn't stop laughing, he just doesn't look like your typical male friend at all with his 'higher than the screen' portrait, the hair and the earring. What a guy. And the most memorable bits? The Nrvnqsr fight in all its extended glory (apparently it was reduced to a short crappy thing in the anime - but I've never seen it), and the final fight with Roa and poor Arc Oh, and the epilogue. Actually, speaking of Roa, does anyone know what the difference between the two Shiki's was in the Japanese? Clearly in the translation they went for capital letters and normal letters, was it one kanji, one kana like I figure? Or something else? Might've been in Melty Blood but that's not here so I can't check it.

Yes, there is a difference in the kanji. You'll see what this difference is later though.
