I wonder if C.C. is from Jupiter, or her powers stem from that planet. Flashes of a planet, presumably Jupiter, are shown during the opening sequence and her transfer of power to Lelouch. There are also other beings like her, one of which seem to appear during the opening sequence as well.

I'm loving this nationalism stuff. It's so intriguing.
