I suppose no shock that the issue in that group starts at the top. The top went insane and everything below him became a mess as a result. Whether it was the responsibility of being a leader that wasn't fun or enjoying the chase more than reaching the destination. It's Choji's fault in the end. He either should have turned down the job or designated someone else. Either way he was the one that chose a stupid concept like losing meaning someone is out.

Obviously Togame still owns his share of the blame. He went along with it on the vague hope that someday Choji...would stop being a jerk. It's nice to hope for the best, but clearly a lot of time has passed since that point without any sign of improvement. Choosing to be the bad guy so Choji looks less awful by comparison has at least worked to make him look awful. So much so that it seems believable to Sakura and anyone else that he was fine with his group acting like bullies and attacking middle schoolers.

The fight was pretty darn good early on. It was good to see both Sakura's ability and his limits. He's extremely strong, but he does have some ways to go to reach the top! He's still a total beast and credit to him. Sadly the episode ended with the fight kind of stalling out. Togame has lost his drive and Sakura is a bit at a loss since it's not meaningful to fight someone that isn't actually...into the fight.
