Replaying the Tunguska story for the quartz reminded me how it wasn't that great. Still didn't love how they handled Koyanskaya. Really feels like when she was introduced they had no clue what to do with her and eventually settled on what we got here.
Also wow Ibuki was just kind of there with a completely random amnesia thing. I can't call it a plot since...there wasn't any plot to that. She just had amnesia for this story. Honestly wish they'd brought in other suitable options like actually using Tamamo. Heck, use Melusine since I'm sure she'd have been happy to be the muscle of this story. Plus it would have let her fulfill her threat to Koyanskaya via her "my room" lines about going after her if she became a beast.
Not that I want to keep dunking on it...but Taigong Wang was a mixed bag for me too. I did like him overall. His personality wasn't bad and kind of nice having a guy with a plan on the scene. But his flashbacks were a bit excessive as was everyone spending too much time repeating his words or reacting to him. The flow was a bit weird around him. But hey, at least he was useful.
Free quartz is free quartz. But while I mostly enjoyed replaying the Ooku event and absolutely loved going through Seraph again...this one was just a bit "ok". Will be glad to jump into Traum.
