Just checked the wiki's timeline, and it has this for the years (so months aren't taken into account):

So based on this, you don't have to be 12+ to enter the school. Also means currently Rudy is only like, 14, and Norn/Aisha are 9 or 10.

Also means currently Rudy is only like, 14, and Norn/Aisha are 9 or 10.
