First episode was amazing. The Gesicht part of the story was okay, but the Paulo/North part got me teary-eyed. When the cop was disheartened about the loss of his bot-partner, the weight of the loss could not be truly felt with only what was shown. I was taken aback when the story sudden cut to Paulo and North, but MAN... by the end, it brought me ALL the way back to 1995, where I would shed my first tear for an anime at the hauntingly beautiful
Presence(Robot Carnival) on the Sci-Fi channel. Yeah, if you've seen it, then you know why. The moment when Paulo finds out what his mother did for him while he harbored such intense hatred... OMG, such a powerful moment. My vocabulary isn't poignant enough to describe that climatic, empathetic moment in the story, but it moved me very much.
Somehow, I don't feel that the main story will move me like the latter story
, but certainly the show is off to a really good start =03!
