Not many football (soccer) fans here?
Captain Tsubasa is a classic and while it is not realistic, it was one of the very first and very popular football mangas/animes of the 1980s.
I never got the chance to watch it beyond the elementary and middle school championships so now this new series in 2018 (2023 for the second season) offers me a chance to rewatch the first part and showcase some of the world's best players against Team Japan.
Episode 4 continues Team Japan's losing streak. I'm proud and happy to see that Hyuga and Matsuyama have matured greatly. The heavy ball will work wonders in the long run. And now a few of the EU teams have Tsubasa on their radar!
