Gorbachev passed away at the age of 91.
He's been sick for a while.
Last I heard, he's been given a burial. But not a state funeral. Otherwise, the Special Exemplary Military Band of the Guard of Honor Battalion of Russia was present in being the honor guard to Gorbachev's coffin.
Lately (majority IIRC), Russians don't like his glasnost and perestroika policies.
