Age isn't the important factor, the mindset of the protagnist is. In Inuyashiki the protagonist is still all whiny and goes through the usual character development of making it from zero to hero.
I'm looking for anime where the protagonist is finished with character development and doesn't (need to) change anymore. He should know what he wants and be resolute to take steps to get it.
