So I've been slowly reading the new novel and it really does feel like most of the thing is the author poking fun at himself over the series. I'm currently at a bit where the SOS-dan is discussing how someone writes everything they say without quotation marks and blends it into the narration... Is it just me or is this incredibly meta? Cause that's the main stylistic note of the Haruhi series: that Kyon is a first person narrator that blends his own thoughts with what he says and we're never quite sure of what's what.
