Eren has become quite a surprising hook in all this though. Out of all the characters he's the one I'm most interested in, and there's a lot of interesting characters on display here. I guess judging by the preview, Eren's intention is to do exactly what Reiner did for some dark karmic retribution. If that means killing civvies, I'm gonna start looking at this show a lot differently.

now that Eren held innocent civilians (Eldians, at that) hostage and then proceeded to kill them. You could argue they were just the collateral damage of his transformation, but he still knew what was going to happen. Incidentally, I have a bit of an issue with the anime adding a scene showing Marley soldiers closing in on his location, because it makes it seem like it was either transforming or get caught, and that wasn't the case at all. He made a choice.

Anyway, this episode completely lived up to the hype. Mainly two guys talking in a basement, and yet so intense.
