I still cannot fathom why after 17 years since the first SARS epidemic, the CCP who cracks down on everything that offends them, from religion to pop culture, cannot crack down successfully on their people eating things that obviously should not go in the mouth. It's not even an ingrained part of Chinese culture FFS, just some weird 19-20th century fad
