There are there those who have become indifferent to his character as well.
Touma is a huge hypocrite, many called it already back then when LN discussion was just a single thread.
It's just that now it's become more evident and intended or not both Touma fit to a T the theme of the major arcana the Hierophant. He has suffered but he hasn't learned at all to use those as positive feedback to grow instead he chose to curve himself into a ball to embrace what should be changed on himself.
