I am just thinking about Mitome Wolf...
The story really wasn't about Mitome, but Hanekawa. And the story ended in that chapter with the main mystery unsolved.
Spoiler
for
chapter end
:
Mainly, the question revolved around WHY Hanekawa came to Araragi's house. Did she came to see Araragi because of her feelings for him and was hoping to take another shot? Did she came because she was hoping to recruit him because she needed a business partner? Or did she came to take back her personal items that Araragi had kept up to now.
After sleeping on it, I realised the clue is in the theme of the chapter; schrodinger's cat.
Some people mistakenly think the thought experiment was about not being able to know if a cat was alive or dead. But what it is REALLY about, is that until the box is opened BOTH exist and are both true at the same time.
So My reading of the situation is, that all three reasons were simultaneously the true reason why Hanekawa came to see Araragi. That she was actually happy for any of the three outcomes. But the quantum superposition of what Hanekawa wants, then settles down once she realised she could only get her personal items back and the other two were out of the question.
So it really is the case that she wanted all three, but only one was possible.
