Well, it's simple, motoyasu is acting differently, his last line in the anime is the biggest clue; but those are spoilers that even LN readers might want to avoid as it only has been shown in the WN.

This is a different loop, motoyasu is the one acting differently to make naofumi look better.

He almost called malty a pig, my guess is that he was keeping her busy so she did not kill larc and alexandrite, then avoided rishia so naofumi is the one that saves her.
