Tales always used an anime-style. It wasn’t anything new for Zesteria or Berseria. The only time they moved away from anime-style was with the “CG version” of Hearts. Which didn't do very well, as I recall, and was never seen again after it’s initial release.
The anime-style is most definitely here in Arise, just a bit more mature-looking. And we all know the cutscenes and OP will be full anime.

It’s a cute ship and everything, but fans are reluctant to let it set sail because well...

Laphicet was the reincarnation of Artorius’s dead kid who was inside the body of Celica, Velvet’s older sister. So in otherwords it means that Velvet is still all intent and purposes the kid’s aunt. I don’t know if it’s legal like that, but oh well it’s Japan and anime so what can you do? “Shrugs shoulders”
