Pretty sure Fitoria's daddy was the previous shield hero, and part of why she didn't decide to kill them after all is because she's reminded of the old shield hero when she's around Naofumi, and so he now has 2 turkeys in his harem

It wasn't just about confirming her position, but giving her a power boost and forcing her to expand her fighting style to include combat as a human. And while I suspect her Hero was the Shield, I'm not going to place any bets as this seems more like something they want to leave unknown, and I have no problem with a few "shrugs".
